In the modem days of continuous casting and ladle metallurgy, liquid metal treatment has become much complicated. Users' demand of increased quality requirements has forced steel industry to achieve reproducible product an of high quality steels at competitive prices.

To achieve this it is necessary for the industry to be able to add alleys with guaranteed and reproducible recovery in very precise form more so when additives are of low density, low melting point and highly toxic or easily oxidized.Introduction of these additives into hot metal is the main problem faced by the metallurgist in the extra-furnace treatment at steel and cast iron.

The most effective way to infuse these elements into the melt in the ladle is through the injection of CORED WIRE with fillings of These elements at correct speeds.This method can be applied practically in ant steel producing division regardless of steel teeming capacity.

Metal Jacket Provides the Following Functions :   
  • Protects the filling from the influence of atmosphere and moisture when keeping and transporting and from oxidation when passing through slag.
  • Provides the required rigidity of the wire decelerates reaction of filling component with liquid steel which permits to control the depth of immersion of wire into liquid metal by means of changing of feeding rate and jacket thickness.
